Dr. Weiss joined the Department in Fall 2007 and teaches courses in science education, geology, and physical science. Her interests focus on sedimentary processes and stream flow and how students learn science. She serves on the executive committee of the National Association of Geology Teachers. Recently, she has presented at the Geological Society of America's annual conferences and SERC's Environmental Geology workshop and published in the journals Educational Action Research and Science and Children (NSTA).
