Biography
Dr. Ilchi’s primary teaching areas are theories of crime, corrections, statistics, research methods, and juvenile justice. His current and past research interests include life-course criminology, early intervention programs, juvenile justice decision making, police militarization, and factors related to perceptions of the police and support for police accountability. Before coming to Westfield, he taught classes at the University of Cincinnati and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He is an active member of both the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
